Liverpool instigates community energy movement

Last week, DDCE joined the first workshop in Liverpool City Region Combined Authority’s ‘Community Energy Masterclass’ series.

Sadie, DDCE volunteer and LCRCA’s Energy, Decarbonisation and Sustainability Officer, gave a great overview of community energy basics, and we then enjoyed some practical mind-mapping activities with Lily from Placed.

DDCE’s Coordinator, Lucy, shared case studies of our solar installations and discussed other approaches to financing and owning future community energy installations.

Three cheers for LCRCA for starting the community energy movement in Liverpool! Thanks for having us - we can’t wait to hear how it progresses.
