New Local Power Plan

Great British Energy today published its new Local Power Plan, committing £1 billion over this Parliament to local and community energy. Community Energy England said: “It sets out an ambition to support over 1,000 local and community energy generation projects across a wide mix of technologies, sizes and locations. The aim is clear: to give every community the opportunity, capability and support to take control of its energy future and share directly in the benefits.This is potentially transformational for the sector. It gives us the opportunity to scale up again - and to demonstrate what community energy can deliver at pace.”
